The lemon, the orange and the apricot trees in our back garden are very different from each other, but sharing the same land for this long, their roots started to get closer.

DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT
The Lemon, The Orange and The Apricot is a short film I made in Ovacık, Şile, a village situated 70km outside of Istanbul. I would regularly record our daily conversations, arguments and silences to see if there were any patterns in our dialogues. When I was listening to one of these recordings in an afternoon, I realized how similar we all were to the three fruit trees at the back of our house that shared the same garden, distant from each other on the surface, while having roots that got closer as they grew.
