The lemon, the orange and the apricot trees in our back garden are very different from each other, but sharing the same land for this long, their roots started to get closer.
This is one of the three short films I made during lockdown in Ovacık, Şile, a village situated 70km outside of Istanbul, where I spent 2 months with my family.

It consists of two shots: first one was my view: watching two cows, while hearing a dialogue I had with Gabriela over the phone who was in Portugal, telling me it was 38 degrees there. The second shot is me taking my body temperature.

This is the first film I made when I was 13.
My mom and I bring some tea for my dad as a surprise, when he is trying to fish. My dad feels uncomfortable because another man found his secret fishing spot. My mom thinks that he wants to leave because we interrupted his peaceful day. Meanwhile, a sneaky frog gets closer and closer to my dad’s fishing rod.

This is an interview I made with the César Award winner cinematographer Agnès Godard in 2016, in her house in Paris. It was supposed to be published in Klok Magazine No.9, but never did since we stopped publishing the magazine soon after this interview.
The actual interview is around two hours long, but this short film focuses on Agnès Godard’s take on Wim Wender’s Room 666, especially around the reasons behind the absence of the controversial filmmaker Yılmaz Güney in the film.
