Today, two earthquakes struck Gaziantep (7.8) and Kahramanmaraş (7.5), Turkey, which also hit the North-West Syria. According to official numbers, more than 40.000 people died in Turkey, and another 7.000 in Syria. 150.000 are rescued but are severely injured, or probably traumatized for life. Around 5 million people had to move out from their cities, to find refuge in other cities.

Turkey and Syria still need any kind of support to help the survivors, who are either sharing tents with strangers, or trying to sleep in their cars. If you can, the best way to support is still donations through an organization you trust.

If you are willing to donate, instead of donating one large amount once, try to donate small amounts regularly as it looks like it will take months for survivors to have something similar to a normal life.
